A unmodified model 94 should not have a barrel that is approx. 19". The standard carbine barrel length is 20" (or at least very close to 20"). This is important as a modified gun will generally not be worth as much as one in original condition. If I had one with a 19" barrel I would assume the barrel had been cut off and recrowned. The serial number implies that this firearm was made in 1949. An unmodified M# 94 from that era in "new in box" condition, assuming no extras such as checkering, engraving, special wood, ect, would probably have an asking price of $600 to $700 on a dealer shelf. A well worn one with none of the original finish left that rattled a bit when you shook it he might ask $250 for. Remember that these are asking prices. If you sell it to him he will offer only 50% to 60% of that figure at most. If you sell to a privite party you should try to get around 75% of what a dealer would get.
