The amassed opinion from the Internet is that the 33 'Huntmaster' a pump 22 cal rifle was one of the few actually made by JC Higgins, one in exceptional shape would fetch around 150 dollars, IMO the date of manufacture would be late 40's early 50's. Since there is no way to actually pin down the date or actually who manufactured it, the firearm is interesting in the sense that it looks like a Remington, but it has elements of Hi Standard engineering.
