The Lee-Enfield .303 British rifle was first introduced in 1895. It was developed as a bolt-action rifle for the British Army and became the standard infantry weapon for British and Commonwealth forces during both World Wars and beyond. The rifle underwent several modifications and versions throughout its service life, with the last major variant, the No. 4 Mk I, being produced during World War II. Production of the Lee-Enfield continued until the late 1950s.
i would guess around 300-450, cuz' i saw a m1 garand from the same time that was 450. so who knows? Usually the M1 garand goes for about a grand, nowhere near 450$; maybe if it was torn up from an explosion. The enfield .303 is a decent reliable weapon, price depends on condition anywhere from 500- maybe 800.... all depends on condition, matching serial numbers, etc.
The .303 British cartridge was developed by the British government and introduced in 1888. It was designed for use in the Lee-Metford rifle, which later evolved into the Lee-Enfield series of rifles. The cartridge became widely used by British and Commonwealth forces throughout the 20th century, particularly during both World Wars. Its design was influenced by earlier military cartridges and was standardized for military use.
