Bay State was a trade name used by Harrington and Richardson Arms Company. This shotgun is a Model 1900 and was made in the period 1901-1916.A patent for that gun is patent number 674,086 issued May 14, 1901 to Arthur Hanson for the removable hinge pin. That is not the date of manufacture, which was probably a couple of years after that.I would strongly suggest having a competent gunsmith examine it before firing ANYTHING in it.
No new parts in nearly 100 years. Used part- ebay, gunpartscorp website.
