33,500 Model 38s (all series) were manufactured between 1936 and 1945. My books don't give a separate listing for this model, but a single shot would be worth from $35 to $100 or a double from $150 - $250, depending on condition. A .410 can bring a premium of up to 100% from the right buyer.
with a serial number of E261611
It's your job to provide enough information to identify the gun first. Stevens shotguns were made from about 1865 until 1991 and the assembly number (that MAY be a serial number if it recently manufactured) does not give a clue which model it is.
Where is serial number on stevens 311c 410?
Depends on model and when it was made. I have a Stevens 84-C that has no SN on it.
All my records indicate that stevens did not make a model 337 shotgun. If your stevens shotgun is marked U337 under the receiver, this would be a serial number, not a model number.
40-110 yrs

SN not required before 1968
The letter on the serial number usually indicates the date it was made. The letter "S" on your serial number indicates that it was made on 1965.
The stevens model 9478 shotgun was made between 1978-1985.
model 77 does not have a serial number, they were made before serial numbers were required
If it was manufactured before 1968 it probably doesn't have one.
