Which Model. It could be a Mossberg, Savage, Marlin, Hi-Std or Colt. You have to state the model of the Revelation.
Retail you could get $100-$110. You might get a little more if you parted it out.
The value of a 1976 Marlin Glenfield Model 60 in mint condition, never loaded or fired, can vary based on factors like demand, rarity, and market trends. Typically, such a firearm in its original box could be valued between $200 and $400, but prices could be higher among collectors. It's best to check recent sales or consult a firearms appraiser for a more accurate estimate.
Hi I also own a Marlin/Glenfield model 30 cal. 30-30. the former owner says he remembers buying it sometime in 1970. and the first two digts are 70 104-- so I would think that those first two digts would show the date of manufacture. God Bless, Mike. for more info, or other questions you can e-mail me at miketheredneck38@yahoo.com Yes, it does. Soon after that, Marlin changed to a different dating system where you subtract the first two digits from 2000 to come up with the year of manufacture. Here is a link to check mfgr dates of Marlin's. http://oldguns.net/sn_php/marlinlookup.php Brian
Starting in 1973, you could subtract the first two numbers of the serial number from 100 and determine the age or year of manufacture. Before 1973, the first two digits of the serial number, indicated the year of manufacture. So, your model 25, like mine, was made in 1969. Some online resources point to Brophy as the authority on dating a Marlin/Glenfield. But then Brophy states that the model 25 didn't start being produced until 1977. i know this to inaccurate as my father purchased the Glenfield model 25 I currently own in 1969, the second year of production which actually stated in 1968.
Glenfield Model 65 - manufactured in 1968; it was essentially identical to the Model 60 with the exception of a brass exterior magazine tube; it was made for Oklahoma Tire & Supply Co. as for the value: poor cond. 70$ fair: 100-125$ good-very good 130-160$ i just picked one up for 80 and saw a nice one at a pawn shop for 139.00
With the serial number provided, your Marlin model 39 could be a first year production rifle, which would be in the year 1939.
It would help if you could tell me which "golden Marlin" model you have? Also condition, features, etc. Marlin made several guns with "Golden" on the barrel, but there should also be a model designation somewhere.
well marlin introduced the marlin model 43 in 1922 so mabey when u figure out what you really have you could try another question My Marlin Model 43 12 gauge pump (Model number is stamped underneath, in front of the trigger guard) has Pat. 1908 on the barrel. There is also a patent date of 1922. Looks like Marlin did produce the Model 43 earlier than the 1922 date you have.
Average price for the rifle itself in VG condition is $75-$125. The scope could add some value depending on the type of scope. Worn rifles of course have less value.
Winchester has never made a model 39.Could be reffering to a Marlin model 39 lever action rifle in .22LR?
