The serial number of a Taurus Model 850 revolver is typically located on the frame, specifically on the left side, just above the trigger guard. It can also be found on the bottom of the grip frame. To see it clearly, you may need to remove the grips, as the number is sometimes stamped in that area as well.

To find the model number of a Forjas Taurus .38 Special revolver, first check the frame of the gun, often located on the left side or under the cylinder. Look for a series of numbers and letters stamped into the metal; the model number typically follows the word "Model" or is preceded by the Taurus brand name. Additionally, consult the owner's manual or any accompanying paperwork that came with the firearm, as they usually include the model information. If you're still unsure, you can contact Taurus customer service with the serial number for assistance.
