They would have brough brought in for selling. The shop was a Betetling Shop which took in cloth and hammered it in a to a thin material for maikng new clothes etc out of. In those days these shops were filled with stolen and "found" items that the poor would sell to get money.
A Baker's dozen is 13 because, for every 12 items a shop brought the 13th one would be given free so the shop could make a profit on the 13th item
All Lisi Harrison's stores are fake fake fake! I'm sure they shop at rich, fancy stores that cost more than half of our tuitions.
Try a local auto recycling shop. They will have these types of items for you from cars that have brought in for a variety of reasons. Good luck with it.
