Can't be answered without a detailed descripiotn of ALL markings.
this is only my opinion. I think the tube fed looks neat. I have had both styles of rifles and you will not find any difference in performance. It will be faster to load a clip than a tube fed style rifle same goes for unloading.
What do you want to know? They made the X-5 lightning in both a tube-fed, and a magazine rifle.
The 550s go for around $100.

Daisy made 2 loading systems for this rifle. Gravity fed and spring fed. Unscrew the barrel insert from the end of the barrel. Pull it out and you will find a tube attached to the insert. Load the BB's into the tube and carefully replace the insert. The model 25 loads exactly the same way.
Need more information. Any and all markings, barrel length, type of sights, type of stock, #of rounds magazine holds, finish. Is it tube fed or magazine fed?
Not 100% certain, but I THINK your rifle was made by Marlin for Western Auto stores- and is in the Marlin 81 family. Below is a link to a photo of a Marlin. These are bolt action, tube fed 22 rifles.
No way to tell for sure. Your rifle was made by Marlin for Sears, and is the Marlin 81- a very nice hunting grade rifle. In its different models, it was made from about 1937-1970. If it does not have a serial number, it was made before the 1968 Gun Control Act. They made a boatload of these, and there is no way to trace an exact date of manufacture.
35-90 or so
Winchester is one.
Stevens, made for Sears Roebuck
The J.C. Higgins 101.25 is worth from around $75 to $125. They were made by savage/stevens, model[s] 39A,59A,B, & C... Also note that the 101.25 is a repeating, tube fed, bolt-action .410 shotgun, [NOT a 30'06 rifle], made in the 40's-50's. It is strongly advise against using 30'06 in this firearm, as serious injury/damage/death can result.
