Mossberg,Browning and Winchester are 3 possibles- but contact me with the MODEL number from the rifle, and we can tell.
Sears Roebuck & Co sold the model 43-103.19811 , .22 cal , rimfire , SL / LR , tube feed , bolt action - the rifle was manufactured by Marlin Firearms Co.
I believe your rifle is a Marlin Model 80 made for Sears.
My dad bought me one in 1950 maybe from Sears or Western Auto.. DR Sharpe Irondale Alabama
Your rifle is a Marlin 81 made for Sears. Insure the rifle is COMPLETELY unloaded. Open the bolt, release safety, draw bolt to the rear, depress and hold trigger, slide bolt out of receiver.
The only rifle that comes to mind after reading your description is the spencer rifle.Especially a rifle that feed through the buttstock.I do not believe that Winchester ever produced a spencer carbine either during or after the civil war.

To feed her family.
I would cook 26 pounds of Boston Butt
Gun made by Savage as 6 with A, AB, B letters that follow. Stevens numbers 76 and 87, in tube feed and same with other companies but this one is a Sears. Stocks also are the same as Stevens & Springfield models 87 tube feed. Numrich mostly has them but as of this writing, they are sold out.lc Jones
yes they can. if you feed them the wrong crap they will get stomach cancer
I just ordered mine from this website and this link goes right to the list of parts for them... http://www.e-gunparts.com/products_new.asp?CatID=9600 If that link doesn't work just search by manufacturer and model from the same site. http://www.e-gunparts.com/ By the way my rifle says it's a Sears Roebuck & Co and that is what I searched by manufacturer with. I have J.C. Higgins at the top of mine too. Good Luck to us both!
it is a marlin model 81. good rifle. hang on to it. thanks
