It is believed that the minimum number of bullets should be used to "remove the threat" hence a semi-automatic firearm will only fire once per pull of the trigger, the officer is in ful control and the threat could be removed without fatal consequences. An officer with a fully automatic firearm, which has now been authorised for certain hostage rescue situations, could well put 3, 4, 5, 10, 30 bullets into a suspect that may kill him and be classified as an "extensive and unauthorised use of deadly force".

Adaptive combat rifle. i think... Or it might be "Automatic carbine rifle", because the ACR is a carbine, and it's automatic.
The term carbine means a short barreled rifle. Some are semi-automatic, some fully automatic, and some are bolt action, lever action, pump action, etc. The M1 Carbine from WW II WAS a semi-auto.

The M1A1 nomenclature was applied to a variation of the Thompson submachinegun, which was an automatic weapons. As far as the .30 carbine goes, M1 designation was applied to semi automatic variants, whereas the fully automatic versions were known as M2.
A semiautomatic firearm fires one shot with each pull of the trigger. A fully automatic firearm is a machinegun. When you pull the trigger, the weapon will fire until the trigger is released, or it runs out of ammo. There are forms of full auto firearms that fire a predetermined number of shots with each trigger pull- usually 3. This is known as "burst" fire- but is in the same LEGAL class as fully automatic.
your question is not specific enough, .30 cal carbine can be anything, as for 1944 can also mean a very wide range of firearms. for the two I know of: M1 Carbine, .30 carbine caliber, semiautomatic carbine Inland - around $800 Mosin Nagant M44 carbine, manuf 1944 in very good condition (like if you bought "new" from a store) around $90. there are hundreds of ".30 cal carbine" that are also manufactured in "1944".
