XDs have several features that Glocks do not. Most notable are the loaded chamber indicator on the top of the slide, the cocked striker indicator on the rear of the slide, the grip safety at the rear of the grip and the ambidextrous magazine release. Both Glocks and the original XD lack manual safeties. XD is now also available with manual safety. There is also a difference in the grip angle of Glock and XD.
