No, a scope mount bar from a Remington 7400 will not fit on a Remington Model Four. Although both rifles may appear similar, they have different mounting systems and specifications. It's essential to use mounts specifically designed for each model to ensure proper fit and stability. Always consult the manufacturer's guidelines or a knowledgeable gunsmith when making modifications.
Scope mounts that mount on the left side of the receiver using the four screw holes are available from Weaver.

Four.
I purchaced a Rem. 7400 model. Was for years blaming the scope for 12 inch groups. Bought another scope and the same wild groups. Taking off the scope and using iron sights 12 inch groups still haunted me. I still thought it was me until breaking out the old 7.7 jap rifle with military sights I have never shot before got less than 3 inch groups. I knew it was not the scope on the 7400 Remington it was the rifle. I think I've seen more Remington automatics than about any other gun on the pawn shop shelves. I believe I know why. I would let the barrel cool for hours let the wind die down clean it after each shot, (tried not cleaning after each shot twice) using at least 25 -30 patches (copper solvent used once). Four different load of shells tried. Gave this gun all the advantages I could plus a rifle rest! It seems I have been Remed.
Actually, there are two completely different rifles that have the "Model 4" designation. A rolling block rifle chambered for .22 rimfire and .25 Stevens was built from 1890 to 1933. Then there was a High Grade Model 7400, designated the Model FOUR, that was made from 1981 until 1987 in various centerfire calibers.
