Taiga is not a city in Russia. Most of Russian territory is taiga, but it is biome, which also covers the most of Canada. It isn't exclusively Russian concept.

The Taiga biome, also called Coniferous Forest biome, is one step south of the colder Tundra. It stretches all the way across northern Russia, into northern Europe and then across into Canada.
Moose live primarily in the taiga. The taiga consists of subarctic coniferous forests. The taiga exists in Canada as well as throughout Siberia, and moose live in both places.
No, there is no taiga in Toronto, Canada. Taiga, or boreal forest, is typically found in northern regions characterized by coniferous forests and colder climates. Toronto, located in southern Ontario, has a humid continental climate and is primarily covered by deciduous forests. While the surrounding areas of Ontario do have some coniferous forests, they do not qualify as true taiga.
A Taiga biome is a mountain like hill, that has a lot of trees and vegatation. You can find one in a large portion of Canada, Europe, and Asia. :)
South of the tree line that separates the Boreal and Taiga forest from the Tundra.
