Lilac is a great shade to wear during the summer months of the year. A light navy suit would look beauts with an open neck lilac shirt, though if you want to wear a tie, a plain purple tie with perhaps some minimal detail would look presentable with a dark navy/blue suit, if not equally a navy tie would suffice.

Lilac is a light colour, for darker months royal purple looks great with black suits as it can create a great contrast. It is often best keep in mind, not to take one shade to literally, try and mix up use in order to ensure that your not just reiterating one single look.
