Huangdi was a good ruler towards the people that approved of him. He wouldn't accept disapproval of anyone. If you dared disobeyed or opposed him or his ideas you would be sent to death or thrown into prison. The Emperor standardized Chinese writing, bureaucracy, scholarship, law, currency, weights and measures. He expanded the Chinese empire, built a capital in Xian, a system of roads, and massive fortifications and palaces. He also divided China into several districts and every district would be ruled by a chosen governor. Shi Huangdi (259-210 BC) was a cruel ruler who readily killed or banished those who opposed him or his ideas. He is notorious for burning virtually all the books that remained from previous regimes. He even banned scholarly discussions of the past. Moreover, he tried to stop Confucianism and wanted those under his rule to follow Legalism

The Qin Dynasty, created by Qin Shi Huangdi, succeeded the Zhou dynasty in Central Asia. The Qin dynasty was short in duration, only 15 years and 3 emperors, but it was greatly acknowledged for its re-unifying China after the Period of Warring states during the Zhou Dynasty. However, the empero Shi Huangdi, ruled by strict military force, and as extremely disliked by the small peasants. Shi Huangdi ordered large-scale building projects (such as the unifictaion of the numerous small walls on Chinas border to create the Great Wall of China, as it is known today, and the large terra-cotta army found in the emperors gravesite ), and eventually the Central Asian peoples revolted against him.
