This term can be used as a verb or adverb. I'll make a biased statement here and explain what is meant. " I will only buy a house that is painted blue because blue houses are better then other ones"This statement is biased against the choice of houses not painted blue and by plain common sense it is an opinion not based on any adequate evidence to the contrary. Here is another example of bias: "I will not hire any Asian to fill this job because they all are poor workers". Here the person is rejecting out of hand an opinion about all Asian workers ( people) and it's clearly made without any good reason. This is a statement by a person with a "bias" against Asian people.
Sir John Major was the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom in 1992.Sir John Major was the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1990 November 28 to 1997 May 2. He was a banker by profession. Major first became prime minister when rising dissent within the Conservative party caused Michael Heseltine to challenge Margaret Thatcher for the leadership. As a result, Major became the leader of the Conservative Party and thus prime minister. Major's role as prime minister saw him lead negotiations in the formation of the EU, as well as participating in the Gulf War and the crisis in Serbia. However, the public's continued disenchantment with the Conservative Party after 17 years led to a large victory for Labour in the 1997 elections. Major would continue on as Leader of the Opposition for a few months before resigning. The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland contains England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, which do not have separate prime ministers.
The Canadian Pacific Railway was built in 1881 (the exact date is not sure), by the Canadian Pacific Railway company, which was lead by Sir Hugh Allan (who turned out to be a real crook), and owned by a banker from Quebec named George Stephen and an executive member of the Hudson's Bay company called Donald Smith. William Van Horne supervised the overall construction and Sanford Fleming planned out the route. The last spike of the rails was in British Columbia, and the official photograph shows a politician or some other important figure hammering it in, but really, the workers hammered in the last spike moments later after the crowd dispersed. The CPR also brought on a dirty Canadian history, forcing Chinese men to work for less than the Canadians. Stepehen Harper made it up to the Chinese by paying each remaining person from this era that was Asian or involved a $20 000 sum.
