Women were treated poorly in the Elizabethan times. They were used for children and passed on like something old. They would be there fathers property until they found a man then the mans property. Usually the man would have sex with the woman to see if she was ble to have children. Then get her pregnant, marry her and use her for the rest of her worthless life.
They were treated alot worse than males, almost like their slaves. If the female was to have a brother younger or older then she would be below him on so many things. Her beauty was and wasn't important. If she was beautiful, then she would get a man straight away. However if she was wealthy and beautiful then her beauty was a bonus, but if she was not pretty and rich, then men were still interested because all they cared about was the money in those days.
In short, it didn't matter about looks or the personality. All the men cared about was if they could have children and if they had a bit of cash in the pocket.
They all had the same rights. however women in Elisabethan times were denied their rights as amater of coarse.
The primary risk to women has been childbirth.

During wartime, women's roles expanded significantly as they filled positions traditionally held by men, who were away fighting. This shift led to a greater recognition of women's capabilities and contributions, challenging pre-existing gender norms. As women took on roles in factories, the military, and various support services, societal attitudes began to evolve, fostering a sense of independence and empowerment. Post-war, many women sought to maintain these newfound rights and opportunities, leading to lasting changes in gender dynamics.

The phrase "Younger than she are happy mothers made" from Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet" reflects Elizabethan attitudes towards marriage and motherhood, emphasizing the societal expectation for women to marry and bear children at a young age. It suggests that happiness and fulfillment for women were often linked to their roles as wives and mothers. This perspective underscores the limited agency women had in choosing their paths, as their worth was frequently measured by their reproductive and domestic roles. Overall, it highlights the cultural pressures of the time regarding female identity and societal expectations.
