The great flood, according to Chinese mythology, was a result of mankinds wickedness and was the work of the Chinese God Taindi, aka Shang-ti, and Tiam.
The pristine myth indicated the Americas were a pristine area. The myth describes pre 1492 America as a sparsely populated wilderness.
Chinese New Year is so old, no one knows when people started celebrating it in the same way they do now. Traditional stories say that Chinese New Year was born out of fear and myth. Legend told of a wild beast called Nien that appeared at the end of each year, attacking and killing villagers. Loud noises and bright lights were used to scare away the beast, and thus, the celebrations were born.
Myth
Nobody has ever found Prester John. That was a legend/myth.
No, not all Chinese believe in dragons. It is, after all, myth. Well, do YOU believe in faries?
This sounds like the myth of Pangu. In Chinese mythology, Pangu was born of a "chaos egg" that took 18,000 years to become balanced. Pangu then rose from the egg, and created the universe.
No Zeus was not a myth. Zeus was a greek God, just like: God Jesus(Not actually a god but still...) Budda(Chinese) And for the record, no I am not Chinese
The story of Pangu is a Chinese creation myth that describes how the universe was formed. According to the legend, in the beginning, the universe was a chaotic mass, and from it emerged Pangu, a giant who separated the yin and yang, creating the Earth and the sky. As he grew, he pushed the sky higher and the Earth wider for 18,000 years. After his death, his body transformed into various elements of the world, such as mountains, rivers, and the wind, symbolizing the interconnectedness of nature.
Pan Ku, also known as Pangu, is a figure from Chinese mythology credited with the creation of the world. According to the myth, he emerged from a cosmic egg and, over 18,000 years, separated the heavens from the earth, shaping the landscape and giving rise to various elements of nature. After his death, his body transformed into various parts of the world, such as mountains and rivers. Pangu is often depicted as a giant and symbolizes the transition from chaos to order in the universe.
quite frankly, yes. 2 years ago, i was at the river and saw one behind a cloud. it had colors of the rainbow. a beautiful sight. But, some believe that Chinese dragon and Chinese mythology is real, and some believe that Chinese mythology is false. well you never can tell if you believe it , to me i think i have to see a dragon myself to believe it .
Ignore the last answer, that person didn't know what you were asking. Are you refering to the Ancient Chinese belief? His name is Pangu.
Why does anyone believe in myths. Because at the time they explained the world in which the people that created the myth lived. The earth was thought to be flat. The earth was thought to be carried on the back of a turtle. The sun was thought to be a God . . . etc. All of these are now known as myth. The Chinese were not the only people who had a mythology. Every group has it own version.
Yes, ask any psychologist. Its an old myth that people still believe.
yes/people might still believe in Demeter like people believe in good even though Demeter might just be a myth , and everyone had it's own way of thinking
