it united its territories under a central goverment
"The Holy Roman Empire is neither Holy, nor Roman, nor An Empire," Voltaire. It began as an Empire under Charlemagne. When his 3 grandsons divided his empire, it became something like NATO. Like NATO it became a mutual defense pact where some parts would send troops for the common good and some nations would not. Finally Napoleon ended it.
Charlemagne was not prepared for his coronation and may not have wanted to be crowned by the Pope. If the Pope had the power to crown Charlemagne king, the Pope might also have the right to remove the crown.
There was no fixed capital, only residences of the German kings and emperors like Magdeburg (under the Ottonians), Speyer (Salians), Prague (Luxemburg), Vienna (Habsburg); and some important cities like Aachen (where the king was crowned), or Regensburg (where the Reichstag was) or Nuremberg (where the imperial regalia was kept).
1000 years ago, the world was in what is now known as the Dark Ages. The Roman Empire has collapsed and Europe was under a rule known as feudalism.
Rome went from Republic then Empire in 27 BC . The 500-year-old Roman Republic, which preceded it, had been weakened by several civil wars. Several events are commonly proposed to mark the transition from Republic to Empire, including Julius Caesar's appointment as perpetual dictator (44 BC), the victory of Octavian at the Battle of Actium (2 September 31 BC), and the Roman Senate's granting to Octavian the honorific Augustus (16 January 27 BC).

there was many queens during that time. they went through kings and queens like crazy.
No similarities. The Roman Empire was an ancient empire and the Carolingian Empire was a medieval one and therefore related to two totally different societies. The only thing was that Latin was the language of the church, bureaucrats and intellectuals.
basically all of them. The Mandate of Heaven was a religious order that didn't die with the change in dynasties, much like how Christianity didn't die with the fall of the Roman Empire or Holy Roman Empire.
They were all the same. Murder, rapes, explotiation, just like today's Catholic church. Repugnant, everything bad they did was and is in the name of religion.
