England was the Mother Country after the Spanish Armada in 1588. I dont know what you mean but I think you are asking what the center city was in the 18th century. Well if that is the case then I am not sure if you mean that based on power or position, but Paris was a very important city.
Birmingham earned the title "City of a Thousand Trades" during the Industrial Revolution due to its diverse and prolific manufacturing industries. The city became a hub for various trades, including metalworking, jewelry making, and gun manufacturing, thanks to its innovative artisans and skilled labor force. Its strategic location, access to raw materials, and advancements in technology facilitated this growth, making it a center of production and commerce. This vibrant industrial landscape contributed significantly to the broader economic development of the UK during that period.
I think that there are three in-game trades. One is a boy in Eterna city who trades you a Chatot for a Buizel. One is a woman in Snowpoint city who trades you a Haunter for a Medicham. One is a woman in Oreburgh where you trade a Machop for an Abra. actually 4. as far as i know. Theres a man on the water in a house that will trade his magikarp for a finneon. on route 226.

The in-game trades are Makuhita for a Slakoth in Rustboro City (east of the Gym), Skitty for a Spinda in Fortree City (north-westernmost house), and Corsola for a Bellossom in Pacifidlog Town. (In the middle house on the south part of town.)

In Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire, there are several in-game trades where you can exchange Pokemon with NPCs. Some of the trades include trading a Seedot for a Ralts in Petalburg City, a Makuhita for a Slakoth in Rustboro City, and a Skitty for a Pikachu in Slateport City. These trades offer players the opportunity to obtain Pokemon that may be difficult to find in their respective games, providing a strategic advantage in battles.
