The former Dutch currency was the Dutch guilder (gulden), which was used in the Netherlands until it was replaced by the euro in 2002. The guilder was subdivided into 100 cents and was known for its stability and long history, dating back to the 15th century. The euro is now the official currency of the Netherlands.
Not the US Government. An American foundation, named the American Colonization Society, helped found the nation of Liberia for former slaves, though.

Equatorial Guinea is the only country in Africa where Spanish is an official language. Spanish is spoken alongside French and Portuguese in some former Spanish colonies on the continent, such as Western Sahara and parts of Morocco.
Spain no longer has any colonies in Africa. They do, however, own two small enclaves on the coast of Northern Africa (Cueta and Melila). These are not colonies, though.
