what cultural movement influenced the development of democracy in America?
The literary movement that emerged after World War II and continues to the present is often referred to as "Postmodernism." This movement is characterized by a departure from traditional narrative forms, an emphasis on irony and playfulness, and a questioning of grand narratives and absolute truths. Postmodern literature often incorporates metafiction, pastiche, and a blending of genres, reflecting the complexities and uncertainties of contemporary life.
Renaissance is the name under which we know the artistic and cultural movement that took place in several European countries at the end of the Medieval Era. The Italian city of Florence was a major focal point of this movement, some scholars attribute Florence's economical and cultural situation as one of the reasons Renaissance started there, also the climate of peace that prevailed in the region.

The Dada movement was a literary and cultural movement that arose as a reaction to the destruction and horrors of World War I. It rejected traditional societal values and artistic conventions, seeking to challenge and provoke through absurdity and irrationality.
Langston Hughes belongs to the same generation as the Harlem Renaissance, which is considered more a cultural movement rather than a literary movement. It may also be referred to as the "New Negro Movement." The Harlem Renaissance got its name from the "Harlem" neighbourhood of New York City. Hughes focused greatly on African American music and the Negro experience in his writing. He has become one of the most influential African American poets in history.
