The Treaty of Versailles
The leader of the German delegation at the Treaty of Versailles, Hermann Müller, expressed deep resentment towards the harsh terms imposed on Germany after World War I. His remarks highlighted the perceived injustices and humiliation faced by Germany, which fostered a sense of grievance and betrayal among the German populace. These sentiments contributed to a rise in nationalism and resentment, ultimately paving the way for the rise of Adolf Hitler and the outbreak of World War II.
The war guilt clause, formally known as Article 231 of the Treaty of Versailles, placed full responsibility for World War I on Germany and its allies. It served as a justification for imposing heavy reparations on Germany, which were intended to compensate the Allied powers for the damages caused by the war. This clause contributed to widespread resentment in Germany and is often cited as a factor leading to the rise of nationalist sentiments and the eventual outbreak of World War II.
I am not 100% sure but I think that Germany was blamed for starting the WW1. (they did not) and France was left in disaster after WWI. Their land was dug up from trenches and almost half of their male population was killed (could have been WW2 don't remember) But anyways, they decided to force Germany to pay them for all the damage the caused... The only problem was that Germany didn't have any money and was in major financial problems itself. So this made the Germans desperate for someone to stabilize and regrow the economy (that's how Hitler came to power)

Not really, no. It was primarily, if not ONLY caused by the Treaty of Versailles, which unfairly blamed Germany for the entire war. It was because of the huge blow the treaty caused to Germans that caused the rise of Adolf Hitler and his brutal Nazi party.
