The Treaty of Versailles was part of it, on June 28, 1919, ending the war between Germany and the Allies, but the formal end of fighting occurred with the Armistice on November 11, 1919. Even so, it took six months of negotiation at the Paris Peace Conference to finalize the actual treaty.
