The Jacobins were a political party of the extreme Left, based on a club which met in a former convent dedicated to St. James.
Robespiere is the leader of a radical revolutionaries, the Jacobins. Robespierre used terror to rule France. It is called the Reign of Terror(1793-1794). They arrested and executed many people who were suspected of being against the revolution.

because the radical revolutionaries believed in natural rights these rights say everyone has the right of freedom, liberty and property. the monarchy during this time was coruped. there were three estates the first to estates the clergy and the nobles had teh most money but did not have to pay taxes. the people who had to pay the taxes was teh third estate the pestants. the radical revolutionaries did not think that this is right.
