Maximilien Robespierre
It was a very difficult group to admire but very few criticised their efforts. They operated the Reign of Terror and were the custodians of the National Razor.
Robespierre brought the Reign of Terror to France opposing anybody who was against the French Revolution. He killed between 16,000-40,000 people but eventually people were afraid of getting their heads cut off so he was arrested and executed by the guillotine.
He was an attorney.
yes
The Jacobins. The Reign was mostly controlled by Maximilien Robespierre and, in the begining, Georges Danton, but he was killed by Robespierre after he spoke out against him.
He was executed by the guillotine.
He wanted to eliminate the herbertist and the indulgents because strict economic policies and an anti-religious campaign that Robespierre could not support. So the leaders were all killed.
i dont know what other ppl think of him but i think he was a heartless butcher who killed tons of ppl. if there's something we dont need it's a modern day robespierre.
Maximilien Francois Marie Isidore de Robespierre was executed on the 28th July, 1794 in the Place de la Revolution, Paris along with Louis Saint-Just and Georges Couston as well as nineteen others. The crowd cried "Down with the tyrant!" as he was about to be executed. It is belived Robespierre is the only person to have been executed by the guillotine face up so he could see the blade approaching.
Maximilien Robespierre and Georges Danton at the time were in control of France, which was immediately after king Louis died. but then Robespierre killed Danton and started the reign of terror
Augustin Robespierre was born in 1763.
He was not a hero at all. He went too far with his revolutionary ideas. He killed thousands of people, sending them to the guillotine, just because they still believed in the monarchial system Maximilien Robespierre wanted to get rid of so desperately. He killed everybody that thought differently than him. He was the creator of the reign of terror and was eventually sent to the guillotine himself in 1794 after the French turned against him when their eyes opened and say what he had done. He didn't even have a trial, and was beheaded faced upwards.
Yes, Robespierre was killed by guillotine himself. After he had send thousands of people there (including France's King and Queen!), it was his turn in 1794. He was the only one that has been guillotined faced up, so he could see his death approaching.
Robespierre was a leader of "les montagnards", a hard-line group in the French assembly. "les montagnards" (the mountaineers) were named such because they occupied the upper seats in the assembly room.
Maximilien Robespierre lived from 1758 to 1794.
