The conflict was mainly the ethnic cleansing of Muslims and killing was every day from snipers and artillery shelling, this was run by the Serbians, this carried on for many years and Margaret Thatcher said famously after failing to get the UN to move in, " We have done little and acheived a massacre".

Under one of the best prime ministers this country has ever had bar none!,we did take part in that conflict alongside the UN, many have bad words to say about Tony Blair and George Bush but they showed compassion to the millions of persecuted former Yugoslavian Muslims and went to war, many war criminals were brought to book for indescribable cruelty including the systematic rape of women and children, mass executions and torture.

Sloberdan Melosavic the Serb President was the main perpetrator and was sent to the Haige

How did alliances between European countries cause a conflict between 2 countries to become a world war?

Alliances between European countries created a web of obligations that drew multiple nations into conflict. When tensions escalated between two countries, such as Austria-Hungary and Serbia in 1914, their respective allies—like Germany, Russia, and France—were bound to support them due to these agreements. This interconnectedness transformed a localized dispute into a larger confrontation, leading to World War I as nations mobilized in defense of their allies, ultimately escalating the conflict into a global war.
