Does Graystripe still love Silverstream

This is a difficult question to answer. Silverstream was Graystripe's first true love. He never states in the book who he loves more, but he does express his feelings to Millie as follows: "I'll never stop loving Silverstream. But she's with StarClan now. And since I've met you... I'm not lonely anymore." (The Lost Warrior, 94)

He loves Silverstream more,

She was his true mate.

the only reason why he expresses his feelings with

mille is because he gets to see her always.

With Silverstream he never got to be with her for long.

It's obvious he loves Silverstream more. It was fate even though they were from two different clans. But when she died, he had to find someone else. Millie was perfect for that spot. They both love each other but Silverstream is always there.

Yes, a little, but he has grown from the cat that left Silverstream dead on the shore. Now he loves the spunky lovable kittypet, or once kittypet, Millie.

graystripe was afraid that millie would die like silverstream did. jayfeather promises him that millie wouldn't die, and she doesn't. Graystripe thought of silverstream having Feathertail and Stormfur, and how she died, then, he tells, jayfeather that if he has to chose who dies, save millie. Jayfeather then tells him no cat will die, and he is right.

The reason why silverstream died was because she didn't have an experienced medicine cat with her, even if cinderpelt was there. Millie doesn't die though, she lives, and has three kits, Bumblestripe/flight*, Briarlight and Blossomfall.

*In the Fading Echos alligiances, Bumblepaw is listed as Bumbleflight when he is a warrior but thoughout the book, he is known as Bumblestripe.

Graystripe will always have feelings for Silverstream, as she was his first love and the mother of his kits. However, Graystripe has moved on and found love with other cats, such as Millie. Their bond still holds a special place in his heart.
