Exposure to sex and violence on TV can desensitize teens, leading to more acceptance or tolerance of aggressive behavior and risky sexual activities. It may also impact their attitudes and beliefs about relationships, gender roles, and consent. Additionally, it can contribute to increased aggression, anxiety, and desensitization to violence in teens.

yes because if not, our generations will get worse and worse and it'll be our fault.
Depending on the station naturally, but generally... hard core sex, frontal nudity & very graphic violence are not seen on TV.
Eddsworld is technically a show aimed at teens and adults, however, I think young teens (maybe even tweens) could watch Eddsworld, too. As long as they can tolerate the mild to moderate violence, know not to repeat the occasional cussing, ignore the suggestive themes, and understand that drinking is bad, there shouldn’t be a problem. Eddsworld can be kind of a mature show at times, but it is nothing TOO crazy. If it were a TV show, it‘d probably be rated TV-PG-DLV.
There was a study done on how watching TV violence affects the behaviors of preschoolers. To test this they had two groups of children watch cartoons on TV. One group watched violent cartoons and the other group watched cartoons without violence. Then, they observe the behaviors of the two groups on the playground. The children who had watched the violent cartoons were more apt to react with violence on the playground than children who hadn’t watched the violent cartoons. The conclusion was that watching violence on TV did affect behavior of children.
There is no doubt it does but the argument is whether the effects are good or bad. Unlike violence on TV that is proven to reinforce violent behaviours.
