At least a hundred miles away. They DID have to cross a mountain and then travel far to find the lake
Actually, probably not. Theres a map that shows the travel map from the forest to the lake; it looked like a long way for CATS to travel, but it was probably about six miles for Humans
When they're in the forest, they are supposedly somewhere in england, but when they move to the lake, they are in the U.S.
In the story, they're just called "the forest" and "the lake." The old forest was modeled after the New Forest, but the lake was made up.
I dont think because in one of the books im pretty sure it said that they're forest territorry was real but the lake wasnt. Im not positive though! Edit: While the forest territory was based on an actual location in Northern England, the lake territory is, instead, a compilation of different places, spanning more than one continent. So - forest, yes; lake, no.
It's in a forest in the original series then by a lake in the power of three series.
The New Forest is a place in England where the first map of the Warriors series was loosely based off of. If you know which section of the New Forest mirrors the map in the Warriors Books, please answer this question. This question is not about the Lake Map.
Yes, in the Warriors series, the cats do move between different territories, including from the forest to the lake. This movement is often driven by changes in their environment, conflicts with other groups, or prophecies that guide their actions.
The second Warriors series is split into two prophecies. The first three books, Midnight, Moonrise and Dawn, are about the prophecy Darkness, Air, Water and Sky will come together...and shake the forest to its roots. The last three books, Starlight, Twilight and Sunset, are about the prophecy before there is peace, blood will spill blood and the lake will run red.
The main forest is based in a forest in England, called New Forest. The lake, however, is not based on any particular area. The Erin Hunters made that one up themseves ;)
