In the book, Warriors: Omen of the Stars Book Two: Fading Echoes, Leopardstar died of sickness which took her 2 last lives leaving Mistyfoot to become the new leader of RiverClan.

Up to date, well, there's no mention of her losing a life that I know of, so I think she still has nine.

but strangely, she died of old age, even though firestar is way older than her.(i dislike firestar)

Leopardstar lost them to dieases and battles. Mostly due to dieases.
