yes, anyone can be. emo is not a style emo is simply short for the term EMOTIONAL anybody can be emo you don't just have to be into heavy metal bands etc to be emo that's just very stereotypical.

An eleven year old can't be Emo, nor can anybody younger, or somebody that's 12, 13, or 14. You haven't expirienced enough of life to go around being depressed and saying nobody understands you, and that you want to kill yourself. If you do, people will look at you as a poser.
