How would you describe Edmund Pevensie from The Chronicles of Narnia?

When Lucy first discovers Narnia, it's fully snow-covered. It's quiet and still, and the trees are covered with snow. It's because Narnia had had 100 years of winter. A common catchphrase is "Always Winter and never Christmas". The first creature she meets in Narnia is Tumnus, the faun, carrying an umbrella and an armload of parcels.

The book:

The Telmarines are offered a way back to where they originated (a pirate island on earth) through a door made of three branches. the Pevenseys go through the door and end up back at the train station where they were at the beginning of the book, but before they go Aslan talks with Peter and Susan, because they can't go back to Narnia. When they arrive back at the train station, Edmund recalls that he left his flashlight back in Narnia.

The movie:

the Telmarines are offered a way back to Telmar through a tree; Queen Prunaprismia and Glozelle go through first; the Pevenseys return.

Edmund, starts out being a naive, and inconsiderate person. Very selfish, caring only for himself and not his siblings. However, he does change, drastically. He becomes a heroic individual, who in my opinion, is often braver and wiser than his older brother Peter.
