What are possible cause of teen runaways?

G irls runaway for many reasons. Some are: arguments between parents, step parents, boys, drugs,depression and the ways they can get treated by people involved in their life. Some just do it for the heck of it and just want to hurt their families who might really care for them and that girl might not think of it that way. That's what I assume it should be.

Teens sometimes run away because they are either frustrated or jsut need to be alone for a while. Just give them time and they will come to their senses and come home. ♥

I would not say that most teenagers run away from home. The ones that do run away may be that they are experiencing frustration with rules that on they must adhere to if he/she is living under your roof. Some may be abused and then choose to leave. This question is so broad. There is not one answer that can explain "why". There tons of reasons, the best thing is to sit down and talk with the teen. Listen to them. remember, we were all teens once.

I am 17 years old and I've had a lot of problems with my family. I am the only deaf child out of my entire family. I've always seen myself running away from my family and being out of reach for years to come. And not contact them until one random day some years later by leaving a letter on my moms front door. The letter will say "I love youom, but I just couldn't handle all the torment and insults from my own family. I couldn't take it anymore. But, I just wanted to let you know, this will be the last letter you will ever receive from your son. I love you. Mom."
