There are several different books that are good for teenage girls. What Color is Your Parachute for Teens is a great book because it deals with how a girl should be herself and to set goals and find their dream job. Everyday Leadership is also a great book because this shows young teenage girls how they can make a positive impact on the world.

Pam, Anna, and Lulu are the three girls in the pony pals books.
Alex, Bobby (short for Barbara for girls) I find Bobby unique and very cute ^.^
She thinks of them herself. She writes the book first then thinks of a good name for it. Like The Diamond Girls, she called it that because the girls's surnames were all Diamond, so they were the Diamond Girls. Also in The Illustrated Mum, Jacqueline chose this name because it was like Star and Dolphin's mum was illustrated (meaning pictured). I am a complete Jacqueline-o-holic and I mostly only read her books. If you are looking for good books by Jacueline Wilson I recommend My Sister Jodie, Girls In Love, Girls Out Late, Girls Under Pressure, Girls In Tears, Cookie and Glubbslyme. There are loads more good ones but I think they are the best. Hope you like some of these books and now understand that Jacqueline thinks of her own names for her books!
There are hundreds of Spanish names for girls, as there are in English. There are many reference books and web sites to determine these names. Juanita, Bonita, and Donita spring to mind...
Barnes and Noble will have books of baby names at their stores. Their website should have a way to find a store in your area possibly by giving them your ZIP code.

There actually are girls in some Roland Smith books. Some girls are in Cryptid Hunters and Tentacles which are the only Roland Smith books I read. They are phenomenal books. You should read one of them. Some of the girls: Grace, Laurel, Rose, maybe PD, Congo, and Bo. (Some don't sound like girl names, but they are.) Those were only a few. There still are a bunch more.
