Because of this when Leslie gives him the art kit he automatically thinks that it must have cost her a lot, because that is his mindset living in the family he does. Leslie's family however do not have money issues, They live out in the country so they can concentrate on writing. Both of her parents are successful authors, and money for this is not an issue, or a problem.
