The duties of a care giver for children can be of many tasks. This could mean that you care only for the children by bathing them, feeding them, watching them, taking them where they need to go and things like that. This could also mean that as a care giver you care for the children, cook, and clean.
As a caregiver to children, my duties include ensuring their safety and well-being, providing emotional and physical support, creating a nurturing environment, and facilitating their growth and development through age-appropriate activities. I also communicate effectively with the children's parents to maintain consistency in their care and address any concerns or needs that may arise.
In "The Giver," age 12 is not considered adulthood; it's when children receive their life assignments. The community controls their lives, unlike in reality where adulthood is based on legal age and responsibilities. The book explores themes of conformity and control, emphasizing the differences in societal structures.

No it would not.
For young children a gift basket with toys or games and candy would be appropriate. Another option to consider giving the child would be some kind of educational DVDs.
