When is the latest they will make the warrior cat movie?

Well, the whole warrior cats movie situation is pretty jumbled right now! Rumors have been circulating for months -no years- about how Zac Efron will voice Firestar and Rihanna will voice Bluestar, honestly I think that's as far from the truth as you can get! The Erins have always answered the question with something like 'As much fun as making a movie would be there's just not enough demand for a violent cat movie...' or an answer similar to that. In an author chat with Victoria Holmes she replied to this question, "Hey, it's the movie question! Well, we are in talks with a major Hollywood production company at the moment, but it's the earliest possible stage, so there's no script yet, or any plans for a release date. Things are looking much more hopeful than they were a year ago, but I can't say there will DEFINITELY be a movie, nor can I tell you when it would come out. Sorry! But I promise I'll keep you all posted if I get any more news." Later on a fan asked "Which animation studio is working on the Warriors movies?" and Holmes stated, "We're not at this stage yet, I'm afraid. We've got some big producers who are very interested in taking the project forward, and we may have a director who's willing to work on a script, but we're nowhere near finding an animation team or starting production. Sorry!" Recent rumors say that Victoria has confirmed there WILL be a movie and it will be made with CGI and that the cats will be very realistic looking, she even compars them to Aslan from Narnia! If this is true it's FANTASTIC news for warrior fans everywhere! Release dates are uncertain along with voice actors, but most fans are praying for late 2011, 2012 or early 2013. Also some fans think a possible voice actor Firestar is Elija Wood who plays the main character in Lord of the Rings... if that happens it'll bring a lot of publicity to the movie! ;)
