Ashfur betrayed ThunderClan by plotting to kill Firestar's kin - Hollyleaf, Jayfeather, and Lionblaze. He did this out of spite because Squirrelflight rejected his affection, and he sought revenge by manipulating events to frame her kits for a crime they did not commit. This act ultimately led to his own demise at the paws of Hollyleaf.
