The little'un with the mulberry coloured birthmark on his face was the first to see a "beastie." Samneric first saw the body of the dead pilot and mistook it for the "Beast."When Ralph, Jack and Roger climbed the mountain they too saw the pilot's body and mistook it for the beast. Simon later climbed the mountain and recognised the body for what it was. He released the tangle of parachute lines. That same night, during the storm, the parachute lifted the body from the mountain top. The body drifted down over the jungle and across the lagoon. It was spotted by the boys at Jack's feast who mistook it for the beast.
In Chapter 8, Simon discovers the "real" beast is a pig (sow) head on a stick, which is the Lord of the Flies... the lord of the flies also claims that the boys created the beast and everyone of the boys is a beast in himself.... In Chapter 9, the so called beast Samneric saw in earlier chapters and the same so called beast on top of the mountain that Roger, Ralph, and Jack saw is just a dead body of an airman in a parachute (Simon's discovery)... he then untangled the parachute lines...the wind caused the body to move like a puppet
Samnericfirst saw and reported the beast on the mountain to the boys.
Simon is an epileptic and during an epileptic fugue he has an internalised conversation with the evil which he knows dwells within us all. He mentally projects this inner beast onto the pig's head on a stick which Jack has left as an offering for the imagined beast.
The littl'un with the mulberry birthmark on his face- he was later burned alive.
A beastie
In "Lord of the Flies," the boys exaggerate their experiences on the island due to fear, superstition, and a desire for power. They are influenced by the presence of the "beast," leading to heightened emotions and distorted perceptions of reality. This exaggeration contributes to the breakdown of order and civilization among the boys.
because he was only in the beginning part of the Book when he declared he saw the beast and then he disappeared and was never mentioned again. hope that helps.
Samneric in the flickering light of the signal fire see the dead body of an airman, which appears to move as wind blows against the parachute which is still attached to it. They think that they see the beast and in their frightened and confused state the movement of the parachute suggests wings. Later Ralph, Roger and Jack also see the dead body on the mountain top, in the failing light of evening, and reach the same conclusion, that they have also seen the beast.
The littlun with the mulberry coloured birthmark on his face was the first boy to mention the snake-thing or beastie. He mentioned it at the meeting in chapter 2: Fire on the Mountain. The littlun he said that he'd seen during the previous night and he was worried that it might return and try to eat him.
