Purdy doesn't necessarily dislike Crowfeather. Crowfeather is a very young and arrogant cat when Purdy first meets him. Crowfeather insults and questions everything Purdy does which irritated Purdy.
In the "Warriors" book series by Erin Hunter, Purdy does indeed join ThunderClan. Purdy is an elderly loner who eventually becomes a member of ThunderClan after being invited by Firestar, the leader of ThunderClan at the time. Purdy plays a significant role in the series, offering wisdom and guidance to the younger cats in the clan.
Purdy does not have a sister. He never did.
Actually, no, Purdy does not die. He seems like an old cat, but the WARRIORS series only speaks of him once - so really it never tells if Purdy dies. But he might if Erin Hunter keeps writing.
