Why did Tawnypelt left ThunderClan and joined ShadowClan?

Tigerclaw had been implying left and right that his apprentice, Ravenpaw was a traitor Firepaw over hears him talking to Darkstripe and Longtail plotting to kill Ravenpaw, they take Ravenpaw to WindOver Farm (where barely lives) to save him

Tawnypelt left ThunderClan to join ShadowClan because she felt alienated and judged by her Clanmates due to her father's evil reputation. She found acceptance and a sense of belonging in ShadowClan, where her half-brother Tigerstar was leader.

Tawnypelt felt that she was being treated unfairly because of something her father, Tigerstar, had done, and she got sick of it and left to join ShadowClan so she wouldn't have to work through hatred to be loyal warrior.

After ThunderClan took her in, she gradually became friends with Firepaw and built a good connection with him. Though the Clan didn't trust her, she slowly grew to think of it as her home. After she saved ThunderClan's kits from Blackfoot, Bluestar asked her to join the Clan. Because she had become such good friends with Firepaw and had grown accustomed to thinking of ThunderClan as her Clan, she accepted.

Ravenpaw leaves ThunderClan, because Tigerclaw was hinting that Ravenpaw was a traitor even though he wasn't. Ravenpaw also leaves because Tigerclaw would kill Ravenpaw, so the other cats do not find out that Tigerclaw killed Redtail.

Tigerstar wanted to rule the forest by saying that all of the clans should become one so there will be more support and that all four leaders will rule. It was a lie though because if that was to happen Tigerstar will be the true leader. Leopardstar felt that if she didn't do this Tigerstar will kill her clan so she decided to join though Firestar and Tallstar decided to fight.
Tigerstar was a very convincing speaker. He would have made his Clanmates, and RiverClan, believe that life would be perfect if all the Clans were to join - or, if WindClan and ThunderClan refused, that TigerClan could easily drive them out and rule the forest alone, having plenty to eat.

Leopardstar agreed to it for several reasons: It made sense that life would be better, she didn't want to cause trouble for her Clanmates, she thought that Tigerstar was the most powerful leader and therefore a valuable ally, and also, she actually had a crush on Tigerstar, as one of the authors revealed once (and one cat mentions it at a Gathering in one of the Omen of the Stars books, I think).

Tigerclaw killed former deputy Redtail to become deputy. However, Ravenpaw saw the whole thing so Tigerclaw wanted to kill him to prevent him from telling the Clan. Fortunately, he escapes to Barley's barn. Firepaw tells the Clan he is dead to keep Tigerclaw from trying to find him.
