Why was charlie upset after hearing Bella and Edwards engagement?

She doesn't! Charlie visits the Collin's one day, after Renesmee is born and after Bella is changed, and he sees her. Edward tells Charlie that she is his niece, but Charlie sees Bella's eyes in Renesmee, and realises that she is their daughter. They have a "need to know" only policy going on, so Charlie never gets the whole story, but knows that she is special and that he needs to keep his mouth shut!

No, he is not mad at Bella for being pregnant. He doesn't even know if she was really pregnant. The Cullen family lied about it because her pregnancy was only like 3 months long instead or a regular 9 months.

Yes Charlie finds out about Renesmee. Bella and Edward try to make her out as Edward's nice, but she looks too much like Bella. Charlie doesn't want to know the details of how she is their daughter, along with many other things, but is very excited about being a grandpa and loves her very much.

Charlie was upset because he thought bella would forget him and do stuff that she wasn't supposed to. She did the stuff he didn't want her to anyway but that's because she loves edward. Charlie is also upset because he thinks bella is pregnant and just like in the story charlies hand goes to the gun when he assumes this but pulls back.
