The domesticated bovine of the species Bos primigenius. Steers are actually castrated males (more like "it's" than masculine males, though they have a penis like any male mammal would), and bulls are the true males of the domesticated bovine species, since they are intact and actually look like bulls, not cows. Steers look more like cows (or heifers) because they have been castrated before they were able to become bull-like in appearance.
No: Male cows do not exist. Cows are ONLY female mature bovines that have had at least one or two calves. A steer is not a cow, it is a castrated male bovine (though it is often termed as a part of the colloquial word "cow," which is incorrect, and which can be understandably very confusing for those who are not familiar with terms involving Cows and Cattle). A bull is an intact male bovine used for breeding. So a so-called "male cow" can be either a bull or a steer, depending whether it has testicles or not.
Wouldn't this be a trick question, as only "Boy cows" can be steers.

There is no such thing as a female steer. A steer will forever and always be known as a castrated male bovine. Intact (uncastrated) male bovines are bulls, and intact (uncastrated) mature female bovines are cows. Heifers are female (intact) bovines that have not had a calf. Spayed heifers are heifers that have been "castrated" or repro tracts removed surgically.

Steer are not aggressive animals. Steer are male cattle who used to be bulls, but were castrated at some point in their life, most likely early on while it was young. This is to prevent the animal to breed with any cows or heffers in the field, and to also make them unaggressive.
