The parturition process of a goat is quite complex, just like that of a woman, a cow or a mare, but basically the fetus is presented front-feet first (just like in a cow or mare), followed by the head, the shoulders, then the rest of the body. Uterine contractions and abdominal contractions help push the kid out, and position the second one to come through. Most does will give birth laying down, since the uterine contractions and pain can be too much to bear for a doe to stand up and give birth.
