Most of the year, bobcats are nocturnal mammals (active at night) however, during the winter they often become diurnal (active in the day) in order to hunt enough food to keep them alive.
While they tend to be more diurnal in winter, they are actually crepuscular.

Nocturnal means you are active at night.

Diurnal means you are active in the daytime.

Blue jays fly around in the daylight and sleep at night, perched in a tree.

So they are... diurnal.

And we are too, except no flying around and sleeping in trees.
