Yes. Guinea pigs are just about the most docile animals on the planet. Unfortunately they are also rather dumb, but this makes them quite content to sit in a cage all day and eat (with some cuddles from their owner every now and again to make sure they remember you as FRIEND and SAFETY) and makes them the perfect low maintenance pets for young children in particular. Do be mindful to cut their little claws though because they can get quite long and not only mean irritating scratches for you but a health hazard for the guinea pig itself.
