It all depends on the cat. Males and females have different personalities. Females tend to be more enthusiastic, and frisky. They may be a little more antsy about the height than males, only because of the way they show their emotions. Either way, cats would land on their feet if they fell off because cats have a special balance in their body that always allows them to twist and turn their spines to level their paws with the ground. So, in the end, cats are only afraid of heights when it comes down the the cat itself. Since we can't talk to cats, we may never know for sure.

Rats and mice are afraid of any predator. Nearly anything will eat them. Some predators that frighten them include cats, dogs, owls, foxes, and snakes. Rats are also usually afraid of humans. edit: Rats are also afraid of the letter "P" If you say any thing with a "P" in it (Pizza/pop/parlor) they flinch/squeek/run. They are also afraid of balloons. I own three rats, and I'm being serious.
Cats are not afraid afraid of cucumbers. The cucumber video making its rounds on social media takes advantage of the fact that cats don't like being surprised by unexpected things. Their hair will raise, they will jump into attack mode, or try to get away. It is always best to introduce new things slowly to cats. Even an empty box can scare them.
