Naturally animals do not have magnets in them - although they may have an affinity to magnetism.

The only animal I know of - and there may be more - that have a magnet in them is cows. Called - not surprisingly - a cow magnet.

It is placed in their stomach, to attach any metal object they might ingest - they are not the brightest of creatures - to prevent "hardware disease" in cattle.

It prevents, ingested "iron" material from passing into their rectum, where deposits will cause painful and of course, high vets bills.

There is no reason for a dog to be afraid of magnets. Dogs probably don't understand the concept of magnetism so will probably be freaked out by witnessing two shards of metal fly across the surface and stick together.

Yes animals do use magnetism and some are lobsters, stick insects, bumble bees, sea turtles, and pigeons. Most of them use magnetism to navigate their way around.
